Birthdays

26th January 2011, Delhi

Most grownups don’t really like to be reminded about their birthday.

When I was little (littler) I never really understood what all the fuss about not liking to celebrate a birthday was.

For me birthday was a day of celebration.
When you got to live another year in this beautiful place called home.

But now I can understand the other point of view. That birthday reminds people of another year in the life as gone. It reminds people that they are now getting older and time is flying bye without any regard to what is happening around it.

Nowadays I don’t really like to wish people a happy birthday. Now that I am old, I understand that it may not be the best thing to remind people that they are getting old.

With age I am starting to understand the different point of views.

As they say: The more I learn every day, the more I realize how ignorant and useless I was the previous day
